I served a year in Jerusalem in immigrant camps and married during military service.
At the time, it was common for kibbutz couples to alternate residence for a year each. We decided to move to Malkiya.
I gave birth to 4 children (one son died of cancer at 35) and now have 2 great-grandchildren.
Despite differences among children and grandchildren (some religious, some secular), all show respect. My second marriage revealed a new world, and I thrived. All my children live in Israel.
I hope our circles grow outward, that our home will be filled with babies, and that the country will regain sanity.
Joy, upliftment from family, blessings from grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Being at the hotel has been beneficial: I gained new skills, met wonderful people from 3 kibbutzim and Kiryat Shmona, went on trips non-stop, and participated in every possible activity.
Modesty, sufficiency, and compassion. Growing up, money was taboo, and I reject arrogance, gossip, and cruelty. “Love your neighbor as yourself” remains a guiding principle.
